When my husband and I started toying with the idea of making a 3D printed circular sock machine (CSM), I realized I had a lot to learn. I spent a lot of time tinkering with different versions of CSMs and how to knit with them. This video demonstrates how I use my machines to make simple sock tubes. These 3D printed sock machines are capable of knitting in both directions and can knit heels and toes, but this video is meant to focus on the basics. I have lots to learn still about what these DIY machines are capable of, but I hope this video will help you get started.
