Mr. Muhammad Asim Khan is a seasoned political and administrative figure from Peshawar. He is currently serving as Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and also holds the important position of Focal Person for Mega Development Projects in Peshawar. He was appointed to these roles in June 2025 by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, signalling the government’s trust in his experience and ability to coordinate large-scale urban development initiatives in the provincial capital.
He previously served as the District Nazim (Mayor) of Peshawar from 2015 to 2019. Elected on a PTI ticket, his tenure was marked by a focus on education, urban governance, welfare, and infrastructure. One of his key initiatives was the prioritisation of education for girls, with nearly 75% of development funds reportedly channelled toward improving access and facilities for female students. He was also active in cracking down on illegal constructions and promoting adherence to proper building regulations.
With his re-entry into government as Special Assistant to the CM and focal person for Peshawar’s development. With a personal interest in Urban Afforestation and Biodiversity Conservation he continues to play a critical role in shaping the city's future.

Muhammad Shehzad Arbab, is a retired senior civil servant and former Chief Secretary of KP. He joined the Pakistan Administrative Service in 1981 and served in various high-level positions during his 36-year career, including Commerce Secretary, Secretary for States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON), and Chief Secretary of Azad Kashmir.
He served as Chief Secretary KP from June 2013 to February 2014. Following his retirement, Shehzad Arbab was appointed as Advisor and later as Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan on Establishment Division from August 2018 to April 2022. In this role, he played a significant part in civil service reform and governance initiatives. He was also involved in the FATA reforms process and contributed to the merger of the tribal areas into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He currently chairs the Board of Trustees at Aspire-KP, a think tank focused on governance reform and sustainable development, and also serves as Chairman of Sustainable Conservation Network (SCN)
