Learn how to create a bezel around a cystal chaton using Delica seed beads and expanding outward to add in seed beads and SuperDuo beads in this attractive, wearable pair of earrings.

1. Thread a needle with 5 feet of DragonThread and place a stop bead on your thread. Lay out all of your materials to begin your earring creation. For these earrings, you will need an 8mm Chaton, Czech SuperDuos, 11/0 Delicas, 8/0 seed beads and 15/0 seed beads. Both seed bead brands in this project are Miyuki.

2. Create your bezel for the 8mm Chaton by stringing 22 Delica beads, then you will use the 15/0 seed beads a square stitch a seed bead to each Delica. After you have your 15/0s square stitched to each Delica, take your needle, and connect all of the 15/0s together. Go through them again for a total of 2 times. Then square stitch another 15/0 to each Delica again. Then you will need to connect all of the 15/0s again, when you're about halfway connection, add your chaton, hold it in place and continue connecting the 15/0s going through them a total of 2 times. Now you are ready to add more Delica beads and your SuperDuos.

3. After adding 11 Delicas to the bezzeled Chaton, add the SuperDuos as directed. Next add the 8/0 seed beads and the 15/0 seed beads to create a lovely border for the earring. Add on your wire guard to top off the design and have a place to attach the earwire. Once you are finished with one design, create the other to complete your set.
