Robot Voodoo - Two Bad Bricks (Official Music Video)

Robot Voodoo, newest song off the new EP! This song is about AI, and the fear I have of AI and machines replacing humans and taking over the world. I wrote it shortly after Chat GPT came out in 2023. More specifically, Robot Voodoo is about a futuristic house robot taking control over their human.

Because of AI, we’ve seen giant improvements in many sectors, there’s no denying that. But a sad truth about AI is that it undercuts the works of many artists, writers, musicians, editors, animators and many more. And I think visual artists are some of the people getting screwed over the hardest by this. Why pay an artist, when you can ask ChatGPT to bust out a full image of literally anything you want in 3 seconds?

Art takes time to create, it takes years of practice and making mistakes to become good. Playing guitar, writing a song, writing a story, making a film, drawing, painting. Any art form you can think of, there’s a person who has honed in their craft for years and years for you to enjoy the final product. This is my public service announcement that if you want an original image created, pay an artist. Help someone out. Refrain from using an AI tool that has stolen from countless artists and devalued their expertise.

This timelapse was created by @Amanda. She listened to the song, and I told her to draw whatever it inspired. This is what came out. It’s beautiful. And it took over 45mins to make.
