Senior Biju Janata Dal leader Bijay Mahapatra addressed the media in a press meet a day after his son and Patkura MLA Arvind Mahapatra was suspended from the party. The suspension was ordered by BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik, citing involvement in anti-party activities.

Speaking to the media, Bijay Mahapatra strongly criticised the decision and questioned who the real “betrayers” are within the party. His sharp reaction comes amid ongoing internal turmoil within the BJD.
