Two Post Carlift Adaptor for Lawnmower Four Wheeler or Compact Tractor

Scrap iron is used to fabricate a simple adjustable adapter to increase the functionality of a two post car lift. Scrap gas pipe and scrapped 8'' channel iron makes the adaption affordable. There is a fixed post on the underside of each ramp on one end and an adjustable one on the opposing end. This will allow for the ever changing center to center points as the lifting arms are telescoped in or out and frontward or backwards to accommodate different widths. This adjustablity allows virtually any compact tractor, riding mower or four wheeler access to the lift.
There will be one additional adaption to the adaption. There will be a removable perpendicular cross piece bolted to one of the the ramps for securing a motorcycle for service or repair. The 48'' cross piece will be fitted with a pair of eye-bolts to allow ratchet straps to attach to the handle bars. This adaption will be (in my estimation) far superior to the floor models that are similar to floor jacks because of the interference of the exhaust pipes on many motorcycles. It may however be a bit less convenient than the floor model hydraulic motorcycle elevating work stations because those have a large work table for resting tools or parts.

All in all this was just a simple project that will be quite beneficial many times in the future. I am sure there are other factory or aftermarket suppliers that have variations of this adaption...but none of them obtained as cheaply as this one.
