Triveni is a beautiful river bed in the meeting point of river Rangeet and Teesta. In this meeting point Rangeet and Teesta gathered a large amount of sand and pebbles. Local tour operators have set colourful tents for visitors with various amusements like camping, bathing in the river, campfire, barbeque, rafting , fishing.
There is a myth about the Teesta and Rangeet meeting point. The myth is that Rangeet and Teesta had a quarrel and separated from each other. Rangeet came down through Sikkim taking various turnings searching Teesta. All the way Rangeet roared for Teesta. When Rangeet gets Teesta, he beomes calm just before meeting Teesta.
