If you strip a gear, or in my case, the pinion gear can't hold on to the shaft of the motor anymore, then you will need to change your pinion gear.
As compared to the "good 'ol days" when you just need an allen wrench to change out a worn pinion gear, (airsoft) motor companies now days have opt out to "forced on" pinion gears.
This video will show you how to use a pinion gear puller to remove and replace a pinion gear.
