How to Control Date Granularity (M/Q/Y) in Power BI via Slicer and Field Parameters - Tutorial

If you want to allow end-users for dynamic Granularity selection across multiple visualizations (charts or/and tables) - using Field Parameters can be instrumental in this process.
The most basic option is to just use visual-headers to change the x-axis field (for instance from months to quarters and so on), however - this functionality is not always straightforward and can be especially unfavorable while having multiple visualizations in which this granularity change should be reflected.
Using Field parameters can give that possiblity via a slicer selection - which for non-hierarchical set-up can give us the result we expect.
Feel free to test approaches using a Field parameters solely and also adding a "control" table to change fields of field parameters simulatenously across a few visualizations.
