The Academy Color Encoding System (ACES) has been an industry standard for years. Its implementation into most of the programs used in film post production greatly simplifies workflows. However for years ACES had one major down-side that turned colorists especially away from using it. 2024 marked the release of ACES 2.0 - the new version - that finally fixed this problem and introduced a new way of rendering images. Let’s discuss the new additions in today’s episode.
