Adam Karch performing R.L. Burside's Poor Black Mattie at the final round of the 2023 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN at the Orpheum Theatre.
Adam was awarded the solo/duo best guitarist, and was one of my favorite acts at the competition. As someone that bases my guitar playing around fingerstyle right hand rhythm, it's always exciting to find someone (in this case left hand) that can do it with this kind of proficiency.
