Peel parkrun! It’s been a minute, but the energy here is just as good as I remember. Let’s get into the rundown on this gem in Salford.

The Course: Fast, Flat, and Two Laps of Fun
Peel Park has a beautiful, two-lap course that’s mostly on tarmac paths. It’s got a couple of small inclines, but nothing to write home about. In fact, many people consider this a great course for a PB! It's a nice change of pace from some of the hillier Manchester-area parkruns. The course runs alongside the River Irwell, which adds a bit of scenic beauty, and it's also buggy and wheelchair-friendly, so everyone can get involved.

Location: Urban Oasis with a View
You can’t beat the location. Right behind the Salford Museum and Art Gallery, and on the edge of the University of Salford campus, Peel Park is a green oasis in an urban setting. It's super easy to get to from Manchester city centre and offers some stunning views of the city skyline. It's that perfect blend of city energy and peaceful parkland that I love.

Parking & Facilities:
The parking is surprisingly simple. There's a free car park at Irwell Place, and all you need to do is put a spare barcode on your dashboard to get free parking until midday. The facilities are top-notch too, with accessible toilets in the Salford Museum and Art Gallery and the Atmosphere Café, where you can grab a post-parkrun coffee and maybe a snack with your fellow runners.
