In the 1950s railroad photographers captured the end of the Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad on 35mm film. In this video over the course of multiple days a film crew of two hikes to some of the rarest locations on the Cumbers and Toltec Scenic Railroad recording railroading the way it once was. One of the goals of this short documentary is to replicate the look of and feel of a 1950s camera over Cumbres Pass while maintaining the quality and definition of modern cinemagraphic equipment. Another important element of this video is each of these locations is accessible without a photo charter or other special event.
