FAMILY VLOG | Day 1 Idaho Boat Camping Adventure - How We Packed

Packing for this Idaho boat camping trip was an adventure all on its own. We had to fit everything in for our family of 3 (well 4 counting Waldo our Black Lab). That includes camping gear, food, clothes, and cameras all in to be prepared to handle the variable high alpine lakes of Idaho.

Our boat sponsor ‪@AxisWake‬ hooked us up with their newly launched 2026 Axis A200 (20ft boat) for this mission. Greeny (as we affectionately named her) is small but mighty — the perfect size for hauling both people and gear into places a bigger boat could never reach. As Mushu from Mulan once said, “It’s travel size for your convenience!”

Every inch of space mattered, so we packed smart-ish stacking bags like Tetris in the bed of the truck including our lightweight camping gear, and plenty of snacks for lakeside hangs.

The reward? Getting onto some of the most beautiful glacier blue alpine lakes Idaho has to offer. Places we probably couldn’t have accessed with our bigger boat. Meaning this setup was PERFECT!
