📚 Factoid: Ex-Citirail Units

Former Citirail (CREX) locomotives were leased by GE Capital to Class I railroads during high-demand periods. Their iconic silver, blue, and yellow scheme stood out on any consist. Since GE exited leasing, many of these units were acquired by CN and others. While some have been repainted into company colors, a few—like the one caught tonight—still roam the rails in their original Citirail livery, making them a favorite target for locomotive fans and night rail photographers alike!
