Definitely seems like load fires are a lot more common due to people improperly disposing lithium-ion batteries. Standard procedure is to wait for the fire department before ejecting the load (with the fire department's approval). Although this was cleaned up, Athens still has a lot of areas to improve on being the "big" company they are. I understand you're supposed to use whatever resources given to you, however I've seen smaller haulers with the proper equipment to pick situations like this up faster and efficiently.
This video and the last time I posted this same situation are examples of inefficacy. The whole cleanup took from 9:30am to 11:27am (2 hours pretty much). The street even still has a ton of debris from it. Perhaps RecycLA load fires should be handled by the city since they have the proper resources to clean it up....
