It's November 1988 and we are at Barking Station in East London during the morning peak hour. We see a BR Blue Class 104 DMU on the Barking-Gospel Oak line while the London, Tilbury & Southend Line services are worked by Class 302, 305 & 308 EMU's. These are mostly in Blue & Grey livery although 302 217 is in NSE livery while 302 200 is in BR Green. A freight Class 47 locomotive also passes through light engine.
