With our Leopard 45 Catamaran up on the hard at NORSAND Boat Yard, Whangārei, New Zealand I am trying to get the framework and mounting of the new 1,500 Watt solar array completed.
Framework completed, now needs riveting with Monel rivets. I have started on the mounts for the forward beam onto the hardtop mounts and the aft beam mounted via stainless steel posts to the aft end of the hulls.
Originally I planned to assemble the components when she was back in her berth at Port Nikau Marina, but as I have finished my other tasks I’m trying to get the framework installed before she is re-launched.
