Digital clock using arduino and 16X2 LCD.

As an electronics enthusiast at a stage we would have thought, how to make a digital clock, especially who are interested in the field of digital electronics. In this article we are going to see how to make a digital clock and the design is so simple that in Arduino can accomplish the project without any head ache. This digital clock has just two main components, the Arduino and LCD display. The Arduino is the brain of the clock, which does mathematical and logical functions to updates the clock every second. This project will use a number of jumper cables within a very small space so take your time to check and recheck your placements so as not to produce any magic blue smoke.

Connect the LCD to the Arduino, just to check everything works as it should. Start with the red and black power cables from the Arduino to the breadboard, and then power to the LCD screen. If you display doesn't have a back light, ignore pins 15 and 16 on the LCD screen.
