If you have a Chevy Equinox with a 2.4 Engine and have a P0172 Code your more than likely going to have to replace the high pressure fuel pump. Its very common for them to leak and cause this code. And I show how to diagnose it just to be 100% sure instead of guessing. And if you get a P0191 after replacing it, you might have a defective fuel pump. Ive seen some aftermarket fuel pumps cause this code and the car will go into reduced power mode. So make sure to replace it with an OEM fuel pump and replace the little line thats attached to the fuel pump as well. I show it in the pictures.
