One thing I forgot to mention about JKR's history with queer rep is Remus Lupin. JKR has said in interviews that she uses lycanthropy as a metaphor for HIV/AIDS. HIV/AIDS's history is extremely closely tied with LGBTQIA+ history. So she'll use a disease that is almost exclusively associated with queer people and collect praise for saying a character is gay but she won't actually make anyone queer on the page. cool, thanks JKR....

Also, while I was editing this video I went on Pottermore to see if I could find any discussion of Dumbledore's sexuality on there with no luck. I did however find a 2,300 word explanation of McGonagall's love life so do with that what you will.
