 Euphoria creator Sam Levinson has revealed where all the characters will end up after the time jump in season 3. HBO has finally confirmed that Euphoria season 3 will premiere in April 2026, a full four years after the show’s last new episodes, and Levinson has teased some major storylines (via The Hollywood Reporter). It sounds like this season is keeping most of the characters separate in their own worlds.  That makes sense from a scheduling standpoint — Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, and Sydney Sweeney are three of the busiest actors in Hollywood right now, so getting them all in the same room on the same day must be a challenge — and it makes sense from a narrative standpoint, because people rarely remain close with their high school friends. But it could be disappointing as a viewer.  Audiences fell in love with Euphoria because they fell in love with this ensemble cast, and the dynamic they all share. The individual characters are great, but they work best when they’re bouncing off each other. The later seasons of Veep and Arrested Development made the same mistake, splitting up the cast. And the storylines themselves are a mixed bag. Maddy Is Working At A Hollywood Talent Agency  The least interesting, least inspired storyline teased for Euphoria season 3 is that Maddy is working at a Hollywood talent agency and running various side hustles. This feels like wasted potential for a character who’s already massively underutilized. Giving Maddy an entry-level position in the showbiz world is the most generic, predictable career path for her to take.  Rumor has it that this side hustle either involves a strip club or being a Heidi Fleiss-style Tinseltown madam, and either of those would be a huge disservice to Maddy. The previous seasons established that Maddy used her sex appeal to her advantage to manipulate people like Nate, but there’s so much more to her character than that.  I would’ve expected Maddy to be an enterprising entrepreneur with her own business, not an underling taking orders at someone else’s business.
