He wanted to add some ebony lines into the edge to finish, but needed to make his own lines from a nice chunk he had. in this episode he shows his his methods for easily making them, and then putting them into the table edge. You can use these techniques to make lines out of any materials you might have on hand. Hope it's helpful!
