Is the 1JZ in this Supra trash? The Supra Build officially begins! Today we'll be testing and diagnosing the engine before we start upgrading the turbo setup and throwing nice parts at it. This Supra is a Japanese Market 1990 JZA70 RHD model with a 1.5JZ, which is a 2JZ block and 1JZ head. I have to be sure it's in good mechanical condition before I start throwing more power at it! Spoiler - it's not! We compression test and leak down test it, revealing some major problems the car was hiding. Guess it's time to tear it down?
