[SMRT] Kawasaki Heavy Industries C151 [089/090] - Gul Circle » Tuas Link (EWL)

With the KHI C151 trains once being the heart and soul of NSEWL, with 66 active trains at their highest number, dwindled down to about 27 or 28 active trains as of February 2025. It has been a dramatic and sharp decline in the numbers subsequent to the 065/066 derailment in September 2024. The R151s are now the most populous train on NSEWL with 46 trains so far.
089/090 is one of the KHI trains that still remain.
SGT2581 Announcement: With LTA announcing the retirement of the First, Second and Third Generation Trains in Singapore, (Kawasaki Heavy Industries Contract 151, Siemens Aktiengesellschaft C651 and Kawasaki Nippon Sharyo C751B), both of us will be filming more of these trains on both NSL and EWL, to commemorate the great service that these trains have provided.
