Reactive Miniature Schnauzer Transformed In 3 Weeks

Well Peeps! Arlo, the fearful tyrant, is now back home with his family, and we’ve got yet another massive transformation under our belts.

If you can remember, Arlo came to us an anxious, insecure, entitled, KING — and his behavior was starting to become a major concern and embarrassment! At only 10Months, this lil man was habitually and reflexively barking at just about everything — NON-STOP! And it was worsening to the point of lunging!

Time and again, we’ve seen the unhealthy mix of too much liberty, unearned privilege, insecurity, and a lack of accountability, lead to fallout. It is our responsibility as pet owners to get to know WHO our dog truly is at their core, and to then find a customizable balance between the level of structure & rules required for well being.

When we integrate the key ingredients to creating safety and harmony into our daily living with our dogs — structure, rules, boundaries, & accountability — we open up the opportunity for so much more freedom and inclusion. Once Arlo learned that growling, lunging, and biting warranted correction, and we started teaching him a new way of defaulting to a human in charge, all of that nonsense finally stopped! Arlo and his new family are now equipped with the knowledge needed to provide this kiddo with the structure and routine he requires to be his most balanced, relaxed self. Arlo just needed to know that his owners are the one’s in control, NOT him. And now they are empowered to do it for him!
