An Absolutely Beautiful Day To Enjoy Enjoy Nature In West Central Florida!

Along with a group of friends Doug, Marcie, Bonnie, Alan and Kathy from Stillwater Preserve RV Resort we rented kayaks from Chassahowitzka River Campground and set out with cameras at the ready. We decided to head out on what I was afraid might be a chilly morning but instead quickly became a gorgeous day.

I must say that the folks there were very nice and the gentleman who helped us launch was kind enough to give us details on where to go and what to watch out for. Turned out to be great advise.

The water was a bit murky so underwater shots of the manatee were not as good as I hoped. Many had to be left out. Christina and I will be going out again soon but this time in our wet suits to snorkel with the gentle giants. Stay Tuned!
