The 2nd running of the 555 Hong Kong-Beijing Rally was our most memorable rally as we were blessed to be in it! My co-driver was Alfredo Jojo Estrella and our MP Turbo team was there to support us!
1985 8th placer Mandy Eduque and Jun Espino wasn't so lucky this time and had to retire after an accident. The whole field was plagued with dirty fuel provided by the organizers and we had to crawl in a lot of stages and everyone did the same. Even the mighty Toyota Team fell prey to it!
Luckily, we had cleaned the fuel system every stop and got to clean the fuel before loading it into the tank. We steadily went up and finished well in the end. Stay tuned for the final part.
