The course welcomes participants of all genders, with options for mixed-gender as well as segregated courses for women and men. No prior climbing experience is required, but participants should be prepared for rigorous trekking with backpacks weighing between 15-20kg.

Dining options cater to various dietary preferences, including non-vegetarian, vegetarian, and eggetarian. Accommodations at the institute are comfortable, with separate dormitories and rooms for men and women. Foreign participants are provided with dedicated instructors for translation during classes.
