just mild 'drift boat water' on the upper Siuslaw (but at the perfect flow rate for winter steelhead fishing). This float was to get a feel for the boat dynamics. It was fantastic, flexes a little in a good way, foot rests transmit feedback into my legs, I feel very connected to the water, like I do in my Hobie i11s. I never even came close to not being right where I wanted to be and pointed the direction I wanted to be pointed. planning to fish on the next float.
