Rebuilding my 1979 Pontiac Firebird Part 1

This is my 1979 Pontiac Firebird that I have owned for over 25 years! Two years ago I dropped a valve and destroyed the engine so I am LS swapping the car and taking it on the Hot Rod Power Tour. This car has lots of repairs needed to take on such a long trip so this is part one of several videos to get this car ready to travel. So the plan is to put a carbureted 5.3 LS in with a th400 as a lower budget build and the car needs things like wipers and interior work also I plan on an upgraded stereo and GPS system. The car has been fun mid 12 second quarter mile car for me that I have beat on at the track and burnout shows for many years now I hope to make a reliable car that I can continue to enjoy for years to come.
Starting with a 5.3 LS that I gave a Truck Norris Cam and valve spring upgrade with upgraded rockerarms and new cam bearings. I then took a th400 from a motor home and rebuilt it to put behind the LS1 I upgraded the sprag and replaced all the clutches. I will also be upgrading the rear end and the interior and wiring before this car is going to be ready for long high speed driving on the interstate.
