AB Periasamy, Founder and CEO, gives the Field Day delegates a tour of the architecture and internals of the MinIO object storage server. MinIO designed to be a very fast web server rather than a storage array. It is a single-layer architecture with consistent and atomic storage functions. It uses a heterogeneous scaling model that can be distributed across servers and datacenters with continuous data replication. MinIO has a complete S3 protocol interface and includes erasure coding, encryption, and lambda functions.
