We reached the Murdeshwar in the night a day before . Murdeshwar is a beautiful combination of spirituality and seaside heaven. A place which is known to be the second-highest statue of Sri Anantadrishti, another name for Lord Shiva .
Bound by the Arabian Sea and the hills of the Western Ghats, Murdeshwar is a small coastal town in Uttara Karnataka that has so much more than what meets the eye. This town surely has plenty to offer for every kind of traveler. There is something for everyone in this divine place. We were also fascinated about this costal town and its spiritual tales.

In this Vlog, we have visited the world Famous Murdeshwar temple and explored nearby places , streets, and local food. Watch the complete video to unravel the history of this town and get spellbound by its scenic beauty.

Murudeshwar Temple is an ancient Hindu temple situated at Murudeshwar, Karnataka, with a history dating back to Ramayana Era. It is one of the popular places of pilgrimage in Karnataka and among the must visit places of Karnataka. Murdeshwar Temple is built on the Kanduka Hill, which is surrounded on three sides by the waters of the Arabian Sea.
The temple premises begin with a twenty storied Gopuram. The twenty storied Gopuram at the entry of the temple complex is around 237.5 feet tall and is called as Raja Gopuram , which is second tallest gopuram of the world and you can witness the breathtaking view of the Shiva statue and murdeshwar town from the top of the gopuram . Murudeshwar is around 150 km from Mangalore and just 54 km from Gokarna.
Nearest Airpot is Mangalore International Airport (IXE) -134 kms,
The closest railway station is the Murudeshwar Railway Station, about a kilometer away from the temple. It is well connected with Roadways, and regular buses do ply from major cities (like Bengaluru/udupi/managlore, etc.) to murdeshwar. The best time to visit Murudeshwar is between October and May.

Here we stayed here at a budgeted hotel Aryan Residency (you may watch our previous video to know about our stay and how we reached here). It is located at Murdeshwar temple main road, within a few meters from the Famous Murdeshwar temple, and is easy on the pocket. The hotel was decently maintained and constructed with sufficient parking space and has AC and Non AC rooms. We booked a Non AC room, it was a small room but served the purpose , was clean and hygienic.
