THE MANTLE OF PROPHECY - In Search Of Connection (Lesson 11)
A video of the eleventh and final lesson, of the commentary of Qasidah Burdah, "The Poem of the Mantle", an ode of praise of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) by Shaykh Ibrahim Osi Efa. Taught in Nottingham organised by the KQZ Institute.
In Chapter 9 and 10 Imam Busiri speaks about Lament, Hope, Prayer and Intention.
Sharaf al-Din Muhammad al-Busiri's (608-696?) illustrious poem, al-Kawakib al-durriyya fi madh khayr al-bariyya (The resplendent stars in the praise of the Best of Creation), which became known as Qasidat al-Burdah, is one of the literary treasures of the Arabic language. It is a model of true and excellent praise for the Prophet, which contains the rarest pearls and lessons on the etiquette of humility and respect before the Elect One of creation and the Beloved of the Lord of the worlds.
