When the Drum Sang - Family Story Theater: stories from around the world - 1985 community kids show

Created throughout 1985 in Tucson, AZ, Family Story Theater was a community kids show focused on bringing stories from around the world to life. The show was aired on public access.

Teaching important lessons about life, this show empowered children to learn about and enact all the roles of video production and stage acting. From directing, to filming, to acting, to prop making, the kids were involved at every step of the way.

Completely DIY and orchestrated by the parents of the children, this project was a led by Dean & Dudley Evenson, who took the "executive producer' roles for the five episode series.
