In this video we document some of the labors involved in disassembling the front axle for our 1960 John Deere 430 Standard tractor restoration project. Once we have everything sourced, apart, and cleaned we accomplish some basic reassembly as well.
My techniques and tools are probably not the industry standard, my approach to what is removed/installed is random and haphazard.
Obviously I have no training or credentials that justify me walking anyone thru this process or this project. I do have years of experience working on/restoring my own tractors; I also have a doctorate degree that justifies the "Doc" in "TractorDoc."
