We dyno'd a hi-tech Porsche 993 Turbo engine and you won't believe the results!

The parts were purchased, the machine work was done, the engine was built, the turbosystem installed.
The ITB's linkage was fabbed, the fuel lines manufactured, the Motec wiring harness and ecu hooked up, the engine was fired.
Baseline calibration done, engine sounds great!
It's time to fly out to IMA Motorwerks in Chantilly Va to check out this build and help finalize the tuning.

Ugh. Delay, delay, delay. I'm amazed the planes were even getting off the ground with everything shut down.

I made it!
.
It's making a modest 450hp at 0.6 bar baseline boost on pump fuel. Sounds nice, perfect crankcase seal with the AutoVerdi oil pump pulling vacuum throughout the whole run.
.
We make some adjustments, reroute the wg and exhaust dumps, relocate the intakes and find 50hp. still at 0.6 bar we're now at 500hp.
.
We make some more adjustments, take care of some software issues, do some more tuning and are now at 550hp.
.
This goes on for 80+ runs! Slowly creeping up the power as the calibration is falling in place.

720 horsepower and 600 ftlbs of torque sounds like a nice number to stop at. After all, this is a 2wd street car that was requested to have a huge power under the curve, super boost response and amazing throttle response and all through cats!
