-The song is based off a real encounter Fogelberg had with an ex-girlfriend.
-Everything said in the song was accurately depicted, except for the woman's husband being an architect. Fogelberg did that on purpose to protect her marriage.
-The song wasn't intended to be a Christmas song, but the themes of snow, the setting on Christmas eve, and Auld Lang Syne was enough to get airplay specifically during the holidays.
-You could doubt this one, but if you were smart, this is one of the greatest love songs of all-time.
Also, for like the first minute-and-a-half, the gif restarts at every other measure in sync; that was 100% accidental.
