El Retiro Park is a large public park located in the center of Madrid, Spain. It is a popular destination for locals and tourists alike and is known for its beautiful gardens, large ponds, and wide open spaces. The park is home to a number of important landmarks and attractions, including the Crystal Palace, a beautiful glass and iron structure that was built in 1887 and now houses temporary exhibitions; the Monument to Alfonso XII, a large monument dedicated to the former Spanish king; and the Estanque del Retiro, a large pond where visitors can rent rowboats.
