RAJASTHAN Series EP #8: Drive from Deshnoke to Bikaner & Trainspotting with Irfan (@TheRailStation)

Hi Friends,

I present to you, the eighth vlog of the Rajasthan 2023 series. In this video, we resume our journey from Deshnoke. After completing darshan of Karni Mata in Deshnoke, we set out to grab some lunch. I didn't vlog this part as I had to recharge my camera battery and phone too. We had some traditional Rajasthani lunch in a dhaba near Deshnoke and later drove to Bikaner.

But before heading into the city, we stopped at the outskirts, specifically at the bypass road, where the railway lines towards Merta and Churu bifurcate/amalgamate. In the previous vlog, I mentioned that I would be meeting a friend here, many of you who know him already, he's Irfan (Channel - ‪@TheRailStation‬). We had been in touch for many years prior, through social media, and when this trip came along, I took it as a chance to catch up with him in person.

The place where we met is one of Irfan's regular spots for capturing beautiful videos of trains arriving and departing Bikaner. Do check out his channel for some clips from when this place was wire-free and some amazing parallel departures at Bikaner outer.

It was an amazing few hours spent with him, wherein we spotted four actions in total, apart from one departure that I captured before Irfan came over. After this we went about hunting for accommodations in Bikaner, finally chancing upon one quite close to the railway station. We relaxed there, to culminate quite an eventful day that started in the morning in Osiyan, continued up to Deshnoke and ended in Bikaner.

Later that evening, we ventured out for some dinner and a stroll in the railway station, and that's where the upcoming vlog will continue. Stay tuned.
