Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 (2023) is an action-adventure game by Insomniac Games and Sony, continuing the stories of Peter Parker and Miles Morales. Peter starts his first day as a physics teacher, but he and Miles must stop a rampaging Sandman. Fired for leaving class, Peter returns to Aunt May’s home and reunites with Mary Jane and a newly recovered Harry, who invites him to join his Emily-May Foundation. Meanwhile, Kraven and his Hunters arrive in New York, capturing super-powered individuals—including Martin Li, whom Miles still blames for his father’s death.

Peter, MJ, and Harry try to reconnect at Coney Island, but the Hunters attack to capture Tombstone. Harry, enhanced by a powerful organic exosuit created by Connors, helps Peter fight back and learns his secret identity. Kraven kidnaps Connors and forces him to become the Lizard again. In the battle, Peter is fatally wounded, and the exosuit bonds with him, saving his life and transforming him into a darker, stronger Spider-Man. Kraven becomes obsessed with hunting him.

As the suit corrupts Peter, Connors reveals it is an alien symbiote that must be destroyed. Peter refuses, even as Harry’s illness returns. The symbiote amplifies Peter’s aggression, causing him to nearly kill MJ and go on a violent rampage. Kraven captures Miles and forces him to fight Li. Miles rejects his anger and helps Li escape, who then alerts Peter. Peter storms Kraven’s base, nearly killing him until Miles intervenes and helps Peter remove the symbiote.

Peter takes the symbiote to Oscorp, but Harry reclaims it, transforming into a monstrous Venom. After killing Kraven and attacking New York, Venom tries to “heal the world” by spreading the symbiote to everyone. He turns MJ into Scream, but Peter frees her. Peter still carries trace symbiote remnants, which Li converts into the Anti-Venom symbiote, allowing him to destroy Venom’s hive. Venom powers himself using the meteorite that originally carried the symbiote, but MJ destroys it with the EMF particle accelerator. Peter and Miles defeat Venom, freeing Harry but leaving him comatose.

In the aftermath, MJ leaves the Daily Bugle to start her own podcast and moves in with Peter. Peter steps back from being Spider-Man to rebuild the EMF, trusting Miles to protect the city. Norman Osborn blames the Spider-Men for Harry’s condition and demands their identities from Otto Octavius, who refuses. Miles finishes his college essay and meets Rio’s new boyfriend, Albert Moon, and his daughter Cindy.
