The Godmother is a documentary that delves into the unique story of Fred Gorski (a.k.a. Rain Storm) and his Crossdressing salon Fairplay. Located in suburban Staten Island, Fairplay is a sanctuary for men who find pleasure in dressing “en femme”. Nestled in this conservative landscape, Rain’s 22-room Victorian home provides a safe space where men can escape their daily lives and live out their fantasies to the fullest.
Rain caters to his crossdressing clients acting as hairstylist, make-up artist, coach and confidante while recounting the story of his amazing 60-plus year journey as a salon owner, drag performer, pagan priest and survivor.
Showcasing the transformation of several of Rain's clients, “The Godmother” allows us a rare glimpse into this underground scene. Directed by Jeanine Corbet, Produced by Sally Polizzi and Jeanine Corbet.
