Founded in 1954 with just 16 students and a borrowed building, Murray Edwards College, Cambridge celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2024 as a flourishing College for women with ambition.
Our film tells the story of the College, from the battle to create a third foundation for women students at Cambridge and the vision that set New Hall (the College's founding name) on its path, through the creation of its iconic buildings and record-breaking donor gift, to the forward-looking, energetic institution of today.
We are grateful to all who took part, including Ann Cullen, one of the very first cohort of New Hall students.
