Road trip to Burg Eltz

We went for a weekend road trip to Burg Eltz which was 2 hours drive from Frankfurt. I think it was probably my first time driving outside of Frankfurt but it was a wonderful experience. We were treated with a scenic view on our journey to the castle, passing by oat fields and poppy flowers. Burg Eltz is of course one of the most beautiful castles in Germany and belonged to the Eltz up until now. I had to catch my breath since we had to walk quite a bit before reaching the castle. It was worth the hike. Credit to Hans Zimmer and Lisa Gerrard for the soundtrack. I can’t help to take video shots of my wife walking through the fields, just like in the movie Gladiator. This was taken during the early post pandemic in 2020 when tourist was allowed. Thank you for watching.
