Coeur d'Alene Police Chief Lee White announces he's retiring

The City of Coeur d'Alene announced Police Chief Lee White is retiring after 30-plus years of law enforcement service.

White joined the Coeur d'Alene Police Department in 2014 from Mesa, Arizona.

According to a press release sent out from the City of Coeur d'Alene, crime dropped 78% under Lee's leadership and Coeur d'Alene now experiences fewer crimes than it did in the 1980s.

White's final day in the department will be January 14, 2026.
