A Walker's Guide to Navigating Terminal B at Orlando International Airport (MCO)
Welcome to Orlando International Airport (MCO). This guide provides a walking tour of Terminal B, designed to help you navigate your airport journey with ease, whether you're arriving in Central Florida or heading to your next destination.
Terminal B, located on the south side of the main airport building, serves a large number of major domestic and international airlines. The terminal is designed for an intuitive passenger flow, organized across three levels that correspond to the different stages of your travel.
Airlines Operating from Terminal B
You will find the check-in counters and baggage drop-off for many of MCO's largest carriers in Terminal B, including:
American Airlines
Allegiant
Breeze
BermudAir
Bahamasair
Delta
Flair Airlines
United Airlines
Air Canada
Alaska Airlines
LATAM Airlines
Sun Country
Volaris
Viva Aerobus
WestJet
Navigating the Levels: A Step-by-Step Guide
Level 3: Departures
Your journey begins on Level 3, the Departures level. Here, you will find the airline ticketing counters. After checking in and dropping off your luggage, you will proceed toward the security checkpoint for your assigned gates. Terminal B provides access to two gate areas, known as Airsides:
Airside 3 (Gates 30-59)
Airside 4 (Gates 70-99)
Follow the prominent overhead signs to the correct security checkpoint for your flight's gate.
Security Checkpoint
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) checkpoint is where you will be screened before heading to the gates. Have your boarding pass and a valid government-issued photo ID ready. You will need to place all carry-on items, along with large electronics and outerwear, into bins for X-ray screening.
To the Gates
After clearing security, you will board the Automated People Mover (APM) train that quickly transports you to your Airside gate area.
Level 2: Arrivals & Baggage Claim
If you are arriving at MCO and your flight uses a gate in Airside 3 or 4, the APM will bring you back to the main terminal building. You will then proceed down to Level 2 to collect your checked luggage. The baggage claim carousels are numbered, and flight information display screens will direct you to the correct one. Airline baggage service offices are also located here if you require assistance.
Level 1: Ground Transportation
Once you have your bags, head down to Level 1 to find all ground transportation services. This is your exit point for:
Rental Cars: All on-airport rental car companies are conveniently located on this level.
Taxis and Ride-App Pickups: Follow the signs for designated pickup zones for taxis, Uber, and Lyft.
Shuttle Buses: Find shuttles for hotels, off-airport parking, and private transportation services.
Public Transportation: The local Lynx bus service also has stops on this level.
