As most of you guys know, RATT are one of my favourite bands. Lay It Down has one of the nicest sounding, trickiest shaped riffs from that era of music. Warren DeMartini is one of my favourite guitarists and combined with the harmonies of Robbin Crosby, they were the dream team.
The way I’m playing the riff is in DGCFAD tuning, rather than standard and dropped to D. I don’t think this isn’t the way that Warren plays it, but it felt nice to move about like this whilst singing and playing.
