This video features an Alstom Movia R151, trainset 937/938, which is from Tuas Depot (TWD) to serve the East-West Line for the AM Rush Hours, from EW8 Paya Lebar to EW9 Aljunied stations, bound for EW33 Tuas Link.
To facilitate track works in order to connect the new East-Coast Integrated Depot (ECID) to the East-West Line (EWL) and to the new Tanah Merah Platform A, from 29 November to 8 December 2025, there will be no train services between Bedok and Tampines, and between Tanah Merah and Expo stations.
As a result, all of the EWL trains have to end its service at EW8 Paya Lebar, while shuttle trains ran between EW8 Paya Lebar and EW5 Bedok, CG1 Expo to CG2 Changi Airport and between EW1 Pasir Ris and EW2 Tampines stations.
This is the scenarios for the East-West Line trains that terminates at EW8 Paya Lebar. All of the EWL trains have to wrongrail out of EW8 Paya Lebar in order to use Aljunied Crossover, and get back on the Westbound Tracks towards Tuas Link.
At the beginning, you would also hear "This train service will end at Aljunied", something which is not heard for years ever since the Lunch Time Express trains stopped.
Very likely that the system did not register EW8 Paya Lebar as the terminus for the next 10 days, which resulted in the RATiS & PIDS to show Aljunied Bound instead, and with the train also announcing that trains would end at Aljunied even though it was bound for Joo Koon/Tuas Link.
