In this video series, I will show you how I did an engine teardown on a 3.1L engine out of a 2003 Chevy Malibu. I am tearing down the engine for my own learning purposes, to find what was making noise ( it was a spun rod bearing), and to scrap the block out for money. This block will not be reused or rebuilt. If I had planned on rebuilding this engine I would have been much much more delicate and gentle with the engine parts.
