Peacocks, Peahens, and Peachicks:
While most people are familiar with these birds under the name peacock, the term actually only refers to the males. The actual name of these birds collectively is peafowl. The females are called peahens and the young are called peachicks. While there are a few different species of peafowl, all the males are adorned with beautiful plumage and long tales that can fan out behind their bodies.
